Mike Brent

Mike is a highly experienced and sought-after speaker, trainer and coach; who has a passion for developing leaders and working with management teams, across all sectors.

Mike has worked with many companies and organisations all over the world, across multiple sectors, including Banking, Shipping, Production, Healthcare, Energy and Government. He is also an adjunct member of Faculty and Professor of Leadership Practice at Ashridge/Hult Business School.

Mike holds multiple MA’s in Sociology and Philosophy, Human Resource Development, and Organisational Consulting; Diploma’s in Business Studies, Marketing, and Coaching; is an EMCC accredited coach; trained in Solution Focus Therapy and Coaching; a licensed NLP Practitioner; and is qualified in a wide range of Psychometric questionnaires including MBTI, FIRO, SDI, Hogan, ESCI, Lumina Spark SPM and CPI.

Mike’s approach is based on attentive listening and is solution focused. He helps clients amplify what is working, and think differently about what isn’t, facilitating inspired action and solutions.

Mike believes in using empathy and challenge to effectively assist clients in resolving their issues. He employs inquiry, active listening, models and frameworks, to help clients examine their challenges from a variety of different perspectives, in order to help them come up up with specific actions and new behaviours.

Mike’s contributions to the field of leadership have been significant, and his expertise has helped many organisations develop their leadership capabilities and achieve their goals. Clients learn how to foster self-awareness, creativity, and how to challenge effectively.

Mike’s particular interest in influencing, leadership, and manager-employee relations (including manager as coach) has led him to write numerous articles and seven books on leadership. He also holds both British and French nationalities, offering coaching in both English and French.
